Soapolallie Collaborations

It is very important to Soapolallie Soapworks' owner Shelley Verlaan that she offer her skills and business experience, physical store and making space, online store and her enthusiasm for synergy to strengthen relationships, help build community and nurture growth in business diversity in Enderby and beyond.

Shelley has always been very involved in the Enderby community since she and husband Harry Verlaan moved here in 1998.  Shelley volunteers currently on the board of the Kingfisher Interpretive Centre, Riverside Community Club and works as a catalyst to organize promotions and events sponsored by the Enderby business community.

Shelley has long had a passion for wildcrafting and started creating her Soapolallie Soapworks products consistent with that passion in 2017, selling her products at the Enderby Farmer's Market and other local markets.  This gave her a chance to meet a wide variety of local growers, crafters and creators and it reinforced for her the importance of relationships and the power of collaboration to share skill sets and business opportunities.

Shelley had the good fortune to get to know Heidi Harris of Flourish Naturals much better during these markets and really appreciated her passion in creating the set of products she had and continues to develop.  Thus Heidi was a natural fit to be the first collaboration with Soapolallie, reselling some of her popular existing Flourish Natural product line and collaborating to create some new products you will find on this website and in the store.

Heidi can also often be found in the store helping make the store shopping experience special with her knowledge of the full product line from both companies.

Heidi's statement of purpose she includes in her product promotion really says it all:
"Use nature to nurture your body!"
and
"Using the properties of plants to care for our bodies is a beautiful thing. Using wildcrafted or organic, top quality ingredients makes these products even better. These products are handmade in small batches in the beautiful North Okanagan of BC. We grow our own herbs on our acreage and source other ingredients locally or use local companies to bring them in."

We are thrilled to be collaborating with you Heidi.
